Universities with the lowest proportion of state school students

The Courthauld Institute of Art, an independent college of the University of London based in Somerset House, last year accepted a majority 54.1 per cent of students from private school backgrounds. 45.9 per cent of those that won a place to study art and art history were from state schools, against a national average of 88.8 per cent.
